Urban League to host live radio broadcast Sept. 29

---- — ANDERSON — The Urban League of Madison County will host a live radio broadcast program on Sunday, Sept. 29, at its office at 1210 W.10th St.

The broadcast is to reach out and enlighten the community of the programs and needs of the Urban League.

“From the Struggles of our Elders to the Strength of our Youth” is the statement for this event. The Urban League of Madison County began in 1926. For the group to continue, they are needing the community’s support.

One of the programs, “Feeding Our Kids,” served more than 2,000 children in the community.

The office will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. for refreshments, tours of the facility, and a bounce house for the children. They will also be available during the live broadcast times, which will be hosted by James Warner.

Broadcast times are as follows: 6 to 8 a.m., 96.7 (MAX); 10-11 a.m. on 1240 AM (WHBU); and 6 to 8 p.m. on 98.7 FM (WQME).
