Elm Grove Christian hosts Bible fellowship

ANDERSON — Elm Grove Christian Church, 300 W. Hartman Road, will host a Messiah Bible Fellowship at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 10; Friday, July 11; and Saturday, July 12.

Guest speakers will be Rick Patterson, David Walser and Ed Drews.

Song leaders will be John Ray and Cheenu Desai.

ANDERSON — Trinity Baptist Church, 1225 Madison Avenue, will host its fifth Sunday missionary program Sunday June 29, at 4 p.m.

Speaker will be Minister Allen Adams of Trinity Church. Host pastor is Rev. Ernest Prince. Information 643-0693.

Mount Pilgrim plans worship festivities

ANDERSON — On Sunday, Mount Pilgrim Church, 615 Henry St., will be celebrating its annual Men and Women's Day during the morning service.

The morning worship service festivities will begin with:

Church school at 9:30 a.m.

Donuts, coffee and juice at 10:30 a.m.

Morning worship at 11 a.m.

Sister Eva Robinson of Mount Pilgrim Church is the first speaker. Special music will be provided by the Angels of Glory and Men of Integrity of Mount Pilgrim Church.

Dr. Shellie I. Foard of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and his congregation will bring closing messages.

Dinner will be served at the church's fellowship hall immediately after morning worship.

Workshop of Wonders VBS planned

PENDLETON — Grandview Church will host Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 14-18.

At Workshop of Wonders VBS, kids will discover how the ordinary becomes extraordinary with God. They will use their imagination and creativity to build their faith, and they will meet people from the Bible who used what they had to produce something amazing with God. Each evening will include Bible lessons, puppet theatre, crafts, games, snacks and more.

Grandview Brethren Church is located on Indiana 13 just south of Interstate 69, exit 214 at the entrance to the Summerlake addition.

St. Paul's welcomes guest speaker

GREENFIELD — The. Rev. David Truax of Mason, Ohio will visit St. Paul’s Anglican Reformed Episcopal Church in Greenfield this Sunday, June 29, for a Holy Communion Service at 10:30 a.m.

Guests are invited to also join in a pitch-in dinner which will directly follow the church service. St. Paul’s is located at 20 W. South St.

    Nine-year-old Skylar King was not a volunteer or even a member of Greater Light Church, which Saturday gave away free school supplies, clothing and food during its annual Greater Light Gives Back event. The boy had played games to win tokens, and then he used them to buy each binder, saying he was giving his prizes away because he wanted to help other people.
