ANDERSON, Ind. — On Saturday, at 4:30 p.m., Madison Park Church of God will host a Community Handbell Festival. Handbell choirs from seven area churches will gather to share the tintinnabulation of the English handbells. Solo choirs will ring several selections, and the combined choirs will ring four selections under the direction of guest director Mike Keller.

Keller is the director of the auditioned Indianapolis handbell choir, Circle City Ringers. He and his ringers have participated in other festivals and worship camps previously in Anderson.

The choirs will gather at Madison Park in the early afternoon with Keller fine-tuning their combined musical offerings. The concert will be presented at 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The concert is free, but a goodwill offering will be taken as a gift to the guest director.

Choirs participating represent the following churches: Bethany Christian, Central Christian, Church of the Brethren, First Presbyterian, First United Methodist, Madison Park Church of God and New Horizons United Methodist. Local directors are Carol Reynolds, Randy Frieling, Delora Roop, Barbara Bowman, Sarah Taylor, Tom Evans and Steve Fleck.
