I want my Easter basket to be full of hope. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Peter 1:3).
I want my Easter basket to be full of scriptures I can devour throughout the year. "All Scripture is God-breathed and I useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16).
I want my Easter basket to tell the story of Jesus, who left Heaven, was born of a virgin, became flesh, healed the sick, gave sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf, taught that grace was better than the law, took our sins to the cross and died in our place, rose after three days in the grave, walked and talked and slept and ate before He rose up in the clouds to reclaim His place in heaven.
He is risen; He is risen indeed.
What do you want in your grown-up Easter basket this year?
