Secret Families hosts benefit ride and dinner

ANDERSON — Secret Families of Madison County will host a motorcycle benefit ride and spaghetti dinner on Saturday, July 13.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Madison Park Church of God, and the ride will start at noon. A registration fee of $10 per rider and $5 per passenger will go to support Secret Families. The ice-cream themed ride will include stops at Cammack Station, Ivanhoe’s and Fraziers.

Following the ride, the public is invited to a community meal at Madison Park from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring live entertainment by The Campbells, a local family of musicians. The meal will include spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, beverage and dessert for a donation of $10.

All proceeds from the ride and dinner will benefit Secret Families of Madison County. The organization delivers Christmas hope to needy area families by providing a decorated Christmas tree, presents for each family member, a $50 Meijer Christmas dinner gift card and a Bible. Sponsor families are located by asking principals from area schools for names of families who would otherwise not be able to provide Christmas for their children.

For more information about the ride or dinner, contact Tim Covert, Open Road Riders, at tcovekid2@aol.com or 765-606-8575. For more information about Secret Families, visit www.secretfamilies.wordpress.com or http://anderson.secretfamilies.org.
