ACS to open house Saturday

ANDERSON, Ind. — Parents, students and the public are invited to open houses from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the 10 Anderson public schools that will be open in the 2010-2011 school year.

Anderson Community Schools Superintendent Felix Chow said the open houses will accommodate  parents and students who will be attending a “new” school next year as well as to welcome the community at large to visit the schools.

Open houses will take place at the following locations:

  • Anderson High School, 4610 S. Madison Ave., grades 10-12 next year;
  • Highland High School, 2108 E. 200 North (Cross Street), grades 7-9 next year;
  • East Side Middle School, 2300 Lindberg Road, grades 4-6 next year;
  • North Side Middle School, 1815 Indiana Ave., grades 4-6 next year;
  • Anderson Elementary School, 2035 S. Raible Ave.,  grades K-3 next year;
  • Eastside Elementary School, 844 N. Scatterfield Road, grades K-3 next year;
  • Erskine Elementary School, 811 W. 60th St., grades K-3 next year;
  • Tenth Street Elementary School, 3124 E. 10th St.,  grades K-3 next year;
  • Valley Grove Elementary School, 2160 S. 300E,  grades K-3 next year;
  • Ebbertt Education Center (Wigwam Complex), 1229 Lincoln St., pre-K, vocational education, adult education and alternative education.

Another open house will take place before the start of the school year on Aug. 14.
