---- — ANDERSON — One of the marquee events of the summer will take place at Anderson Speedway today when the Storm Water Quality Partnership Night features the CRA Street Stock 200.

The other divisions in action include IOFS Super Karts and Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s.

The CRA Street Stock 200 is the crown jewel for the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks with the race winner earning a payday of $3,000. It will be the third of four appearances for the series to Anderson Speedway this year. Dustin Burge scored the rain-shortened victory in May with Jason Atkinson the most recent winner on June 8.

In last year’s CRA Street Stock 200, it was a perfect night for Josh Poore leading all 200 laps becoming the first driver to earn multiple victories in the 200-lap feature. Poore set quick time during qualifications and was never headed during the 200-laps of action, turning back challenges from a number of drivers to record the win. Burge finished in second with David Bice filling out the podium finishers. Jimmy Kirby and Danny Smith rounded out the top five.

Entering this year’s event, former Anderson Speedway regular Burge paces the CRA Street Stock point standings with J.J. Schaffer in second spot and Jim Crabtree Jr. ranked third. Jeff Albright is fourth with the No. 31 car driven by Tyler Marsh and Wes Russell rounding out the top five.

The Anderson Speedway Street Stock division will also be part of the card. Calvin Parham sits atop the standings with the Marsh/Russell entry in second. Danny Adams, Jake McEflresh and Jimmy Kirby fill out the top five.

The IOFS Super Karts make their first appearance at the quarter-mile oval this season. In 2012, Ben Smith and Ryan Cherry split the four events staged at Anderson.

Kevin Henson returned to the winner’s circle last Friday to extend his points lead in the Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 division. Elliott McKinney ranks in second position with Mark Allman, Jamie Valentine and Donnie Ellis Jr. rounding out the top five.

Tonight, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
