Aaron Dreaden led the Argylls with 10 points, four rebounds and four steals, making 5-of-8 field goals. Tanner Wise had nine points and five rebounds, and Aaron Patton added eight points and three assists. Matt Carey chipped in with seven points, four assists and five steals.
“The second half we hit our shots,” Trout said. “We took a huge step forward tonight and Frankton is one of the top teams in the state in Class 2A. We competed for four quarters and I have seen that in the last month. The second half was 33-27 and that’s the way we have to play all the time.”
Frankton had a 35-22 advantage on the boards and also had the edge in points in the paint (34-24), points off turnovers (20-12) and second-chance points (8-6), while Madison-Grant had the lead in turnovers (15-20) and steals (13-6).
Frankton (11-1, 3-0 CIC) travels to Blackford next Friday at 7:30 p.m. Madison-Grant (4-7, 1-3 CIC) travels to Liberty Christian on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
