ANDERSON, Ind. — For the first time in 2013, the pads come on this afternoon.
After three days in camp, and two days of practicing in shells (helmets and soft shoulder pads), the Indianapolis Colts will break out the full pads for their 1:50 p.m. session at Anderson University.
The NFL requires all players to wear their full complement of pads this season, including hip, knee and shin pads in their pants. For some players, that will be a new experience today.
Outside linebacker Josh McNary, who is Army’s career sacks leader and has spent the past two years as a lieutenant in the armed services, also is expected to make his Colts debut today.
