ANDERSON, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts announced the signings of nine undrafted free agents Tuesday, filling out the offseason roster for now.

The Colts have 82 players under contract along with seven unsigned selections from last weekend’s NFL draft. Army lieutenant Josh McNary also is on the reserved/military list until he finishes his service commitment later this month.

The nine players added Tuesday are: Boston College offensive tackle Emmett Cleary, Temple kicker Brandon McManus, Montana fullback Dan Moore, Lindenwood running back Denodus O’Bryant, UCLA cornerback Sheldon Price, Wagner linebacker C.O. Prime, Idaho State wide receiver Rodrick Rumble, Baylor wide receiver Lanear Sampson and Sam Houston State cornerback Daxton Swanson.

Indianapolis also released running back Alvester Alexander, fullback Robert Hughes and linebacker Shawn Loiseau to get to the 90-player offseason roster limit.

“We feel great,” general manager Ryan Grigson said during his postdraft news conference Saturday. “Even just seeing that board that I saw with the names on it for the college free agents we signed before we came in here for this meeting and as I was walking down the hall, we got our last corner so I feel complete.”

Grigson didn’t offer any of the names of the undrafted free agents then, but a few stand out now.

Cleary started every game of his junior and senior seasons and replaced Colts left tackle Anthony Castonzo at Boston College. Price made 13 starts as a senior at UCLA, intercepted four passes and was invited to the East-West Shrine Game, and Swanson is a potential diamond in the rough who is Sam Houston State’s all-time leader with 14 interceptions.

Sampson played in 51 games at Baylor — many with Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III — and caught 165 passes for 1,905 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Colts will open a rookie mini-camp at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center on May 10.
