Local girls tennis sectional draw set

ANDERSON, Ind. — The IHSAA set the draw Monday for girls tennis Sectional 1, hosted by Anderson High School.

The host and Indians and Frankton Eagles won the selection lottery, drawing byes into Thursday’s semifinals.

Meanwhile, Elwood will host Madison County runner-up Pendleton Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to play Anderson at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Highland.

On the other side of the bracket, Alexandria hosts Lapel at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. That winner will play Frankton at Alexandria at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The championship match is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Friday at Highland.
