11 p.m.: Indy student arrested at school

— INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A student is in jail after school police say they found a gun in his locker at Indianapolis’ Manual High School.
Eighteen-year-old Jonathan Gomez was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of a firearm. Indianapolis Public Schools officials say he was suspended pending expulsion.
Officials says school police found the unloaded .25 caliber handgun in the student’s locker Tuesday morning after another student told a teacher about the gun.
Officials say the gun was never used in a threatening manner toward students or staff members. Officials say Gomez didn’t say why he allegedly brought the gun to school.
Gomez was being held in Marion County Jail on $10,000 bond Tuesday night.
