The Anderson Police Department spent $7,000 in overtime from Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s visit last week, Joel Sandefur, public information officer for the department said.
On March 20, the candidate stormed through Anderson, bringing between 6,000 and 7,000 people to the Wigwam.
The Anderson Fire Department, which had a medical unit on site, did not spend any extra money for the event, Deputy Chief Dave Cravens said.
