INDIANAPOLIS — Bad weather is causing numerous flight cancellations at the Indianapolis International Airport.
Airport spokesman Carlo Bertolini says about 100 arriving and departing flights were canceled in Indianapolis on Sunday because of the weather. He says that is about 75 percent of the total scheduled flights for the airport. He says the airport is still operating and did not shut down.
The National Weather Service reports 8.2 inches had fallen at the airport by Sunday evening, breaking the record for snowfall on Jan. 5. The previous record was 3 inches set in 1977.
