First full day of Camm trial jury deliberations ends

The Associated Press

LEBANON, Ind. — Jurors ended their first full day of deliberations in the third murder trial of a onetime Indiana state trooper charged with fatally shooting his wife and two young children 13 years ago.

The jury of eight women and four men broke off their deliberations Wednesday evening after spending most of a day weighing the fate of David Camm in the 2000 slayings of his 35-year-old wife, Kim, and their children, 7-year-old Brad and 5-year-old Jill.

The jury received the case Tuesday afternoon.

The trial is being held in Boone County northwest of Indianapolis because of pretrial publicity in southern Indiana, where the Camms lived in the Louisville, Ky., suburb of Georgetown.
