Singer Kenny Loggins set for Indiana GOP meeting

FORT WAYNE, Ind.  — Singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins is set to perform at the Indiana Republican Convention in Fort Wayne.

WOWO-AM reports party leaders announced Wednesday that Loggins will perform for convention attendees June 7.

The concert will cap the two-day convention at the Grand Wayne Center. Officials say it's part of a push to expand family-friendly activities beyond the typical party business meetings.

Loggins has had hit songs on the movie sound tracks of "Top Gun," ''Footloose" and "Rocky IV," and he wrote the Doobie Brothers single "What a Fool Believes" with Michael McDonald. He won a Grammy award for "This is It."

Earlier this week, leaders announced that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will deliver the convention's keynote address.
