ARCADIA — Pendleton Heights’ wrestling team breezed through its season-opening invitational Saturday, the Hamilton Heights Husky Super Six, defeating all five of its opponents by at least seven points.

The Arabians topped North Central, 48-20; the host Huskies, 44-24; Noblesville, 36-29; Guerin Catholic, 79-6 and Decatur Central, 78-5.

PH had five wrestlers go unbeaten on the day, including Nathan Todd (103-pound weight class), Justin Eshelman (119), Nick Holt (152), Matt Todd (160) and Kyle Smitherman (215).

Girls swimming

The Pendleton Heights girls swim team ran its record to 2-1 by claiming a three-way meet Monday among Hoosier Heritage Conference rivals, in which the Arabians claimed 10 of 12 first places.

PH’s 153 points edged host New Palestine’s 126. Rushville was third with 45.

Nikki Weston won the 100-yard butterfly and 100 breaststroke and was on the two winning relay teams.

Autumn Brown and Amberleigh Clauson both had a pair of individual wins and a relay blue ribbon.

Brown won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. She was on the 200 medley relay team.

Clauson won the 200 and 100 freestyles and was on the winning 200 free relay team.

Jillyan Jackson and Lacey Jackson each won an individual and a relay event. Hyder Merryman was on two winning relay teams.

Nov. 19, the Arabians opened the season by winning 10 of 12 events, but lost a 94-92 decision to Oak Hill.

Brown won two individual events (50 free and 100 back) and was on two winning relay teams for the Arabians.

Weston won two events for PH (100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke) and was on one winning relay team.
