Kate Cowger

Pendleton Heights' Kate Cowger controls the ball for the Lady Arabians

In her class of 364 at Pendleton Heights, Kate Cowger ranks No. 1. She has a GPA of 13.4 on the 12.0 point scale and is the 2017 Lilly Endowment Scholarship recipient. She is also part of the EMT Rookie Program, serves as a lifeguard and plays in the Indy Premier Indoor Soccer League.

She was named all-Hoosier Heritage Conference and THB All-Area in soccer and had a key goal in the Arabians’ victory over Mount Vernon last season to claim the conference title. She has earned eight athletic letters and was part of Madison County championship girls track teams in 2015 and 2018.

Cowger is a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, Best Buddies, French Club, French National Honor Society, National Beta Club and the Pendleton Heights High School Quiz Bowl team. She volunteers at the Pendleton Christian Church, is a leader in Vacation Bible School, teaches swim lessons and is a volunteer at IU Ball Memorial Hospital.

In soccer, she is a Top Team District Player, all-conference, a Golden Ball and Best Newcomer Award winner and an Academic All-State selection. She was also All-Conference in track and the Academic Bowl, is an AP Scholar Award winner and was a 2018 Red Haven Award Finalist.
