David D. Bybee, 55, Anderson, passed away Dec. 28, 2005, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.

He was born April 8, 1950, in Bloomington, Ill., and had lived in Anderson since 1971. He was the owner and operator of Bybee Insurance Agency since 1985.

David was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church and served as a lay minister in the church. He was chaplain in the HOG (Harley Owners Group) and a member of Christian Motorcycle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara R. Bybee of Anderson; parents, Dale R. and Mary Bybee of Las Vegas, Nev.; three children, Christian Bond of Springfield, Ill., Joan (husband, Stephan) Kohnke of Chicago, Ill., and Thomas Black of Clayton, Ga.; four granddaughters and baby Kohnke; sister, Sandra (husband, Brad) Chambers of Bloomington, Ill.; brother, Daniel (wife, Kitchie) Bybee of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Weber officiating. Entombment will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
