Marjorie L. Balser

ARCADIA — Marjorie Lois Balser, 83, died Feb. 10, 2006, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.

She was born June 3, 1922, in Arcadia, the daughter of Charles and Maude Grace (Snyder) Clark.

She was a graduate of Arcadia High School, Class of 1940.

On March 16, 1946, she married Lyman S. Balser.

She was a homemaker and a member of Aroma United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lyman S. Balser of Arcadia; two sons, Jeffrey Lee and wife Charlotte Balser and John C. Balser, all of Arcadia; a daughter, Donna Jean and husband Mike Gentry of Atlanta, Ind.; her brother, Kenneth and wife Estalee Clark of Arcadia; and two grandchildren, Malinda Gentry and husband Will Bailey of Chicago, Ill., and Catherine Gentry and husband Rob Wilkinson of Noblesville.

Marjorie was preceded in death by siblings, Ray Clark, Robert Clark, Glenn Clark, Lloyd Clark, Ralph Clark, Agnes Graf, Inez Meyer, Mildred Clark and Louise Sottong.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Aroma United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Gary Elsten. Burial will follow at Aroma Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hartley Funeral Homes, Arcadia Chapel, 120 E. Main St., Arcadia.
