The murder trial of Jesse Lee Pitts resumed at 9:25 a.m. Thursday as Desmond Rogers took the stand. Pitts stands accused of murder in the bludgeoning death of 14-year-old Amand Brinker in September 2007. Rogers was a friend of both Pitts and Brinker and spent time with both of them the day before her death. He said the two planned to meet the next day at Edgewater Park, where Brinker's body was discovered. Rogers testified he turned down an invitation to go along with them and said he often saw Pitts driving a red, four-door Chevrolet Cavalier.
