Friday looks to be a perfect day with sunshine and a high of 76 degrees. Saturday and Sunday, it's about a 50/50 chance of precipitation both days with Sunday barely making it over that 80-degree mark. High of 81.

COUNTRY ICON REBA MCENTIRE AT HOOSIER PARK

The Queen of Country Music, Reba McEntire, will make a stop at Harrah's Hoosier Park at 7:30 p.m. Saturday before heading off to Las Vegas for her next concert dates. McEntire is a singer, songwriter, actress and record producer. She has released 29 studio albums and acquired 42 No. 1 singles. She has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. There are very few tickets available for the local show.

APD HOSTING WEEKEND BLOCK PARTIES

The Anderson Police Department Community Oriented Policing Section, along with Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr. and APD Chief Tony Watters, will host two block parties this weekend. The first at Belmont Park, at 29th and Dewey streets, will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. The second one, to be at East Lynn Christian Church, 522 E. 53rd St., runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Free bounce house, snow cones, hot dogs and drinks.

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL SUNDAY AT LANDESS FARMS

Landess Farms, 6000 W. 700S, Daleville, will host its 13th annual Strawberry Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. There will be wagon rides, face painting, field activities (jump pad, corn hole and other games). The food tent will be filled with fresh strawberry shortcakes, slushies, strawberry muffins and strawberry rhubarb pieces. The first 50 dads in attendance will receive a special gift in honor of Father's Day. Cost is $6 per car.

TWO LOCAL GRAND OPENINGS

The grand opening of Mitzy's Morsels Pet Food Pantry, 3205 W. 25th St., Anderson, is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes given throughout the day. The pantry welcomes bags of dry dog and cat food. Celebrating a grand reopening from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday is the PitStop Bar and Restaurant, 1220 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Families and children are invited to attend the festivities.
