Pendleton Heights, Alexandria and Madison-Grant softball teams advanced to their respective regional finals with semifinal victories earlier today.

The Arabians shut down Fort Wayne Snider 5-0 in the Class 4A Harrison (West Lafayette) Regional opener behind a grand slam from Erin Falkenberry. Pendleton Heights (27-5) will play second-ranked McCutcheon at 7 p.m. for the regional title. The Mavericks defeated Homestead 6-0 in the other semifinal game.

The Tigers (20-10) defeated ninth-ranked Union County 6-1 and will play Southwestern (Hanover) at 6 p.m. for the championship. Southwestern upset top-ranked Indianapolis Scecina 3-2 in the other semifinal game.

The Argylls (25-3) defeated Delphi 2-0 in the Class 2A Eastern (Greentown) Regional to advance to the finals there.

M-G's championship also is scheduled for 7 p.m. against Cass, who defeated Fort Wayne Luers 4-0 in the other semifinal. The Kings (18-11) edged the Argylls 1-0 in last year's 2A Garrett Regional final.
