A. Ruth (Sandefur) Lawson, 92, of Frankton, passed away Oct. 21, 2011, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, after a sudden illness.
She was born Sept. 8, 1919, in Anderson, Ind., and resided in Madison County all of her life.
She was a homemaker, and she cleaned homes for many years.
Ruth was a member of the Anderson Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she served as a Deaconess for 61 years and was a prayer warrior. She loved her family very much.
Survivors include her son, Larry J. Lawson (Jane) of Lapel; daughter, Sue Fuller (Dennis) of Frankton; brother-in-law, Lindy Lawson (Florence) of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Lori Webb, Kristina Nightenhelser, Barbie Lawson, Jeremy Fuller and Chad Fuller; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra Ozro and Lola Myrtle (Allman) Sandefur; her husband, Lawrence U. Lawson, who died in 1970; brothers, Ray and Asa Sandefur; and sister, Catherine Burris Sanders.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Riverview TCU and Angie and Stephanie Fuller.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Terry Nennich. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
