SARASOTA, Fla. — Geoffrey Michael Hathaway, 63, formerly of Anderson, died Dec. 14, 2005, in Sarasota, Fla.

He was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Anderson, to Oral C. and Rosemary (Eads) Hathaway. He attended Madison Heights High School and Purdue University. He was employed by Goodwill Industries as a manager consultant for the last 10 years. He was previously employed by Little Switzerland in St. Thomas, V.I. and Noel Theobold in Indianapolis.

Geoff loved to travel. He had traveled extensively throughout the United States, North America and Europe. Most recently he and his sister, Lorraine, traveled to Queensland, Australia, to visit family.

He is survived by his wife, Tina; his son, Michael Ross (wife, Jennifer) Hathaway of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kennedy and Andrew Hathaway of Indianapolis; his mother, Rosemary Hathaway of Anderson; sisters, Lorraine Hathaway of Hudson, Wis. and Cecilia (husband Louis) Calvert of Pendleton. Also surviving are a special aunt, Barbara Rees of Anderson, cousins, Renee (Rees) Porter of Anderson and Melissa (Rees) Szalai of Makay, Queensland, Australia, Rees Wiesenauer of Indianapolis, Natasha Szalai of Paradise Point, Australia; nieces and nephews, Hank Gawne of Mishawaka, Penny Johnson of Hudson Wis., Patrick Presley of Lillington, N.C., Mark Calvert of Noblesville and Lisa Calvert George of Bloomington; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oral (Buck) Hathaway.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
