Jack L. Milne, 68, of Sulphur Springs, died Sept. 6, 2010, at the Woodlands of Muncie.

He was born Nov. 8, 1941 in New Castle, a son of the late Samuel William and Beulah E. (Poer) Milne.

Jack was a 1961 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. He worked at Delco Remy in Anderson, retiring in 1998 following 36 years of employment. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, fishing, boating and spending time with his wife at their cabin in southern Indiana on Patoka Lake. For several years he also enjoyed farming. He was a member of White Union Christian Church. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sally (Loucks) Milne; children, Chris (wife: Katie) Milne of Greenfield and Beth (husband: Steve) Rolfsen of Canton, Mich.; grandchildren, Emily and Harrison Milne, Isaac, Lauren and Eli Rolfsen; and a sister Connie Callahan of Muncie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Harry and Grace Loucks.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sproles Family Funeral Home, New Castle. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to White Union Christian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
