Services for Jeanette Warrum, 83, Brookston, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston.
She passed away at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at the home of her daughter where she had lived for more than a year.
Born May 27, 1927, in Anderson, she was the daughter of Ralph L. Musick and Carrie (Wellons) Harmon.
On May 26, 1951, she was married in Anderson to Max E. Warrum, who preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1994.
After graduating from Anderson High School in 1945, she attended Indiana University. She worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses in Anderson, including Container Corp., Cooper’s Sport Bowl and Universal Electric.
For several years, she was an active member of the Buffalo Christian Church in Buffalo and Chapel Hill Christian Church of Kokomo.
She and her family had lived in Anderson from 1951 to 1986, in Monticello from 1986 to 2000, and in Kokomo from 2000 to 2003. She returned to Monticello from 2003 to 2008, when she then moved to Brookston.
She was an avid reader and volunteered as an editor and typist for Buffalo Christian Church for more than 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce (Liz) LeMond, Indianapolis, and John Douglas (Bonita) Warrum, Russiaville; one daughter, Susan (Brad) Gray, Brookston; four grandchildren, Jana Plummer, Brookston, Brad and Natalie Warrum, Russiaville, and Julie (Dave) Kitchell, Logansport; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Gross, Brookston, and Max and Golda Kitchell, Logansport. Also surviving is one sister, Charlotte Turner, Anderson.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 30, at the funeral home. Greg Nydegger will officiate the service. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
