Former Pendleton resident, Karen Leigh (Buck) Ogden, 46, passed away Jan. 4, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 29, 1965, in Anderson and was a longtime Pendleton resident until moving to Rock Hill, S.C., in December of 2006. She had resided in Oak Ridge, Tenn., the past 15 months.
She was a 1983 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School, and received her Associates degree from Professional Careers Institute in 1995.
Karen enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her grandkids and her dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Gary D. Ogden, whom she married on Aug. 4, 1984; children, Heather (husband, Nick) Patterson of Anderson, Lacey (fiancé, Chris Thompson) Ogden of Ingalls, and Justin Ogden of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Annika, Ariana, Marleigh and Maxim; sisters, Cindy Marie (husband, Faron) Inman of Anderson and Mary (husband, Eric) Clements of Ingalls; special mother-in-law, Helen R. (Jakes) Ogden; several brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; her dogs, Buddha and Zeus; and granddogger, Paislee Jean.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, G.D. and Rosie (Jewell) Buck; and special father-in-law, Edgar H. Ogden.
Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, with Pastor Keith Wooden officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lahm Chapel in Pendleton.
