INVERNESS, Fla. — Philip S. McCord, formally of Anderson, passed away July 25, 2014, surrounded by family after an extended illness.
Philip graduated from Madison Heights and Ball State University. In Anderson, he worked for Harold Smith & Associates, the City of Anderson, St John’s Hospital, and spent many summers coaching youth baseball. He moved to Inverness, Fla., after retiring from St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marjorie McCord.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debbney McCord; his children, Michaela McCord, Todd McCord, Aaron McCord, Michaela Wangelin and Christen Albrecht, and seven grandchildren.
Arrangements were provided by Hooper Funeral Home in Inverness, Fla.
