Randy G. Troup, 59, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in his residence.

He was born Aug. 30, 1952, in Anderson, to George and Marjorie (Nettle) Troup. Randy was a 1970 graduate of Anderson High School. He married Michelle Schuler on Oct. 23, 1982, and she survives. Randy retired in 2005 after 33 years of service at Delco Remy, Delphi of Kokomo. He was an avid sports enthusiast; played basketball, softball and football. He enjoyed spoiling the grandkids and raising Great Danes.  

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Troup of Swayzee; mother, Marjorie Troup of Anderson; daughters, Ambrosia “Amy” Hightower, Ky., Rachael (Joseph) Allen, Amboy, and Carrie (Jason) Binnion, Sims; grandchildren, Marc Troup, Aziah Miller, Malik Hightower, Jace and Te’a Allen, and Thomas and Skyler Binnion; sisters, Vicki (Doug) Thomas of Anderson, and Kathy (Steve) Jones of Alabama; nephews, Brian (Hanna) Harris of Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, Jon Harris of Anderson, Zachary Jones of Alabama, and Shelby (Norris) Jones of Alabama; his dog and best friend “Chuck”; and many lifelong friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Troup; and niece, Jessica (Jones) Sheets.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
