Robert C. “Punchie” Harrison, 52, departed this life on Oct. 11, 2012, at his home in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
Robert was born March 3, 1960, in Anderson, to Leslie L. and Daise L. Harrison, both of whom preceded him in death.
He attended school in the Anderson community and graduated from Anderson High School. In 1986 he relocated to the Indianapolis area and was employed for several years at Safe Way Grocery Chain. He was an active member of Eastern Star Church under Pastor Jeffrey Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory six sisters, Ella Patton, Omaha, Neb., Lynnette M. (Pete) Miller of Mansfield, Ohio, Shirley Harrison, Muncie, Addie Harrison of Anderson, and Carol Harrison and Bertha (David) Hughes, both of Indianapolis; one brother, Frankie (Rashall) Harrison, Overland Park, Kan.; many loving nieces, nephews, who he doted on; also a host of relatives and friends too numerous to list individually.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; three brothers; two nieces; and one nephew.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Gholar & Gholar Funeral Service, 2223 Nichol Ave., Anderson, with Pastor John Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Walk Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
